New York State has been actively promoting the development of solar energy and has made significant progress in increasing its solar capacity.
They are actively working toward its goal of obtaining 70% of its electricity from renewable energy sources by 2030.
To achieve this target, the state has implemented various initiatives to encourage the development of solar farms.
The primary program responsible for promoting solar energy in the state was the NY-Sun Initiative, which aimed to add more than 3 gigawatts (GW) of installed solar capacity by 2023.
